A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish gathering, a kind of a party, but more than that. It’s a place for telling stories, learning new ones, for coming together to dance. You don’t have to know the stories or dances to come along. Some of it is organised and led, some of it depends on who shows up and want to share their party-piece, story or song.
What’s a prototyping ceilidh then?
Many ideas came from the u.lab Scotland community about what we would like to do next, particularly from the Firestarter Festival event back in January. One thing which emerged was that people wanted to have some time and space to explore what prototyping meant. Some people were stuck on having an idea but not being sure where to take it next, some people felt they still hadn’t crystallised what was next for them. So whether you want to come and share your prototype, co-create from your own idea or are just feeling stuck, this could be a place to share.
Want to come?

Again, let us know – we want to plan some elements of the day and leave others to chance, but if you know for sure you’d be willing to present, please register and include a short note about what you’d like to share.
Want to help organise?
Great! We’d love some help – please register and indicate that you’re willing to help.
